Reviews
I’ve made the decision to integrate my Reviews subdomain to my main site to make things easier on me. My reviews are obviously based on my own opinion so you do not have to listen to any of it as I am one person out of 7 billion people on this Earth. I write thorough reviews that consist of constructive criticism, not trashy reviews that tell you that your site is horrendous. There’s a difference between being honest & just being a hag & I try my very best to be helpful. I do not think my website is the best in the world, so do not think I am offering reviews because I think I’m amazing, I’m offering them to be helpful.
Rubric
Below is the format in which I will be reviewing your site.
First Impression
This will be my very first thoughts on your layout upon landing on it. I will give tiny tidbits on how you can improve your site if it is too bright or the font is too small. I will also talk about whether or not your website is compatibility with various browsers. If you say it’s best viewed in IE, you need to get with the 21st century & adjust it to fit in FireFox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, etc.
Layout
Comments on your layout. I will check if your website is validated.
CSS
Comments on your CSS. I will check if your CSS is validated & assist you in the errors that may come up.
Pages
I will dive into all of your pages & make comments on each one I stumble across.
Grammar/Spelling
I am a huge grammar Nazi so I will help you improve your grammar if I spot a lot of grammatical errors. I am not a hypocrite in that some other reviewers are. I have seen people call themselves huge on grammar when they themselves, write reviews full of errors. I proofread my reviews before I publish them like I do all of my writings because I find it incredibly embarrassing when you try to tell someone their grammar is off when your own review has various errors. I write in American English so I recognize various spellings on words if you write in British English.
Conclusion
My final conclusion on your website! I do not give ratings because I do not want anyone to be annoyed that I gave them 3 stars instead of 4. I do not want any e-drama so my reviews are purely constructive criticism, not something you will cry over because I didn’t give you 5 stars. They’re intrinsic values you assign to your website. I want to give you advice, not a rating.
