Icon Contest
To enter the contest, you must first read the following rules, create your icon, & then submit it. I will never claim your submissions as my own. To make this icon contest absolutely fair, when you submit your icons, I will save them & upload them to my server. When polling takes place, voters will choose the best icon. Your names will not be listed in the polls but your names will be listed on this page in alphabetical order to show that you have submitted an icon.
Work With It
This month you will work with a picture I took of Baked Alaska. You must save the icon in the following formats: .gif, .jpg, or .png. JPG is preferable.
Deadline
Submissions will be accepted from August 19th through September 2nd. Voting will take place on September 3rd at 12AM Pacific Standard Time until September 17th. Polling will automatically stop before 12AM PST. The winner will be announced the following day.
Rules
1. You must use the image I provided.
2. You may crop the image any way you like–usage of the entire picture is not required. (100 by 100)
3. You cannot use any outside resources (brushes, textures, actions, etc) unless they are yours.
4. You are allowed to use any of my provided resources including textures, stock images, & brushes.
5. You must create any other type of resources you’d like to use for the icon. If you created a texture, you may use that texture.
6. You cannot put your name on the icon, it will not be fair.
7. You cannot post your submission anywhere else other than submitting it here until the final results are in & I announce the winner. You will automatically be DQed.
8. You cannot identify your icon publicly on your blog.
Logic behind this: If you have a site that gets over 200+ hits & you have loyal fans, they will most likely vote for you blindly instead of voting for the icon they think is best. If you do violate this rule, you will be disqualified this round.
9. Respect all of the contestants & abide by the rules. The sole purpose of this icon contest is to see who has created the best icon from the resources I’ve provided with the utmost unbiased polling.
Prizes
First Place: Advertisement for a month, 5 blog plugs, & an award.
Second Place: Advertisement for two weeks, 3 blog plugs, & an award.
Third Place: Advertisement for a week, 1 blog plug, & an award.
+ Knowing that you beat everyone else in making the best icon of the month, fair & square.
+ Placement in the Hall of Fame.

I made a bunch of things for you to post up for people to click & vote for the best icon of the month! You should upload them to your own server but you can direct link if you’re really lazy, just upload them later, at least. You may make your own. Good luck!
