Who is Connor Bruce? Is he a magical fairy? Santa’s little helper? A famous celebrity who was put in jail after he snorted a gram of coke & crashed his Rolls Royce? No, he is none of these. Connor lives in the UK & runs a website like most of us. He seems like your ordinary kid until…you read my story. Believe me, your jaw will drop. It’ll be short so if you’re a skimmer, GTFO.

Bruce wanted to be hosted by me but I declined because of his lack of talent. He pestered me about the code for my post dates, WordPress themes, & asked if he could copy my entire style sheet but “credit me”. I denied his requests. I was too busy to make him a theme & I didn’t want him to steal my style sheet. Being an inspiration is one thing but it is not okay to jack my entire style sheet. For the love of food, be original.

Months go by & I stumble upon his site & I couldn’t believe my eyes. I e-mailed Wendy since she made his theme. In regards to the style of the theme:

. . . he actually asked me to make a theme for him that looked like yours . . . he said just to make it look EXACTLY like yours, colours and everything. Wtf right? I thought he meant make something similar but he wanted everything to be the same as yours.

But that’s not all. Are you ready? As I clicked his “About Me” page, I noticed something familiar. Connor had copied & pasted my entire “About Me” page & edited a few things. He left the same words bold, italicized, underlined, & he even kept my EXACT “hates” & “loves”.

When I confronted him, he replied, “Hi, i have just been testing things out and stuff. in about a week or so i will have my own site,” & that was it. I asked him to change his info yet it is still up. Asking my host to make a theme exactly like mine & then copying & pasting my information is the cherry-on-top of a Creeper Sundae. Steer away from him.

I’ve been exhausted from waking up early in the morning, going to lecture, lab, & work. I’m taking 2 classes so I probably won’t have much of a summer until August. I’ll try my hardest to add updates & finish the reviews. I always find time to reply to all of your comments (because I care, unlike some site owners) even though it takes me a day or two. I appreciate your comments!

After 2 years, my Sidekick 3 started to fail me. In fact, 20 seconds before I entered the T-Mobile store, it restarted all on its own, deleted all of my contacts & texts! My mom went with me to get a new phone. She had to be present, since the plan is under her name, so that I could buy myself a new phone. The phone was on sale & now we get 15% off our phone bill because I’m a college student. Stay in school, kids!

I got the Android instead of the new Sidekick because I figured it’s time to grow up. In High School, the Sidekick was the coolest phone ever but I’m not in High School anymore. Besides, the G1 is AMAZING! It has a plethora of features.

Why not the Blackberry then? I’m not that stuck-up nor trendy enough. Just kidding! I don’t mean to offend Blackberry users (besides my brother )! It’s more of a “business” phone than the G1 or the iPhone. I’m only 19, there’s no need to act like I’m 30 with an intense schedule.

My birthday was on the 30th of May & I turned 19! Thanks to all of you that wished me a happy birthday. I had two birthday dinners–one for my friends & one for my family. They were both really fun & being in the company of good friends & family was fantastic. Special thanks to Pearl for driving me back home to get the cake…even though I know you hated me for it. The cake was Strawberry with Chocolate Frosting & it was made by Pearl & me. It was delicious! Below is one of my favorite pictures from dinner.

Current Affairs

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the families that are going to be hurt by GM’s bankruptcy. Even though I personally think American cars are the worst manufactured cars, ever, the auto-industry employs millions of Americans. Sadly, millions will lose their jobs & source of income.

I also sympathize the families that lost their loved ones on an Air France flight that may or may not have crashed into the Atlantic. Although we do not know for sure at this time if there are any survivors, there is still an on-going search. There was a total of 228 passengers including crew members on Flight 447.

On a lighter note, The Sims 3 comes out today! I’m really excited to get it & play it.

I’m disappointed that California’s Supreme Court upheld the Constitutional ban on Gay Marriage with a 6-1 vote. With 6 Republicans & only 1 Democrat, the Justices ruled unfairly. It was definitely biased–Justices shouldn’t even have a party affiliation. They should be neutral. What’s next on the Hate agenda? Stripping away Gays’ rights to work, adopt, & dismantling the 18,000 established marriages? Might as well round up all the Gays & isolate them while they’re at it. We can’t continue to treat Gays as Second Class Citizens.

However, the Justices decided that the 18,000 marriages performed before the ban would continue to be valid. This is good news. California is supposed to be a Progressive state but we’re digressing. I don’t understand how you can discriminate against people for the way they were born. I hope people will become less ignorant. I’m still optimistic that we’ll be able to repeal it. 2010! If you felt uncomfortable because you’re against Equality, don’t try to debate me.

It’s my Summer Vacation! Finals are over so now I’ll have more updates. My birthday is on Saturday & I’ll be 19. Happy early birthday to Georgina!

I think you all should check out Parks and Recreation on NBC starring Amy Poehler & Rashida Jones. It’s absolutely hilarious! If you love The Office, you’ll love this show. It doesn’t have an annoying Michael Scott character.
